Definition
Bushings, (sometimes called plain bearings, plain bushings, or sleeve bearings) reduce friction between two surfaces sliding against each other. Bushings are akin to thin tubes most used for machinery with rotating or sliding shafts to improve efficiency and reduce vibration and noise.
